Grímur Jóhannsson
Legal Manager, European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA)
Grímur is a Legal Manager in the Legal Affairs Team of EFPIA which he joined in 2020. EFPIA represents the biopharmaceutical industry operating in Europe. Through its direct membership of 36 national associations, 39 leading pharmaceutical companies and a growing number of SMEs, its mission is to create a collaborative environment that enables its members to innovate, discover, develop and deliver new therapies and vaccines for people across Europe, as well as contribute to the European economy. Grímur leads the EFPIA Working Groups on Legal Affairs and on Competition in their objective to foster the implementation of competition policies which strive for efficient and sustainable innovative and off-patent markets.
Prior to joining EFPIA, Grímur worked for seven years at the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). He holds an LLM from the College of Europe (Bruges), a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kent and a License de droit from the University of Nanterre-Paris X.
