Antonio Buttà

Antonio Buttà is the Chief Economist of the Italian Competition Authority. He specializes in industrial organization and has 20 years of experience in competition policy and regulation. Prior to joining the Italian Competition Authority, Antonio worked for international economic consultancies and for Ofcom, the regulator for the UK communications industries. He has extensive experience in teaching university courses and in training public officials on the use of economic analysis in competition law investigations and regulation. Antonio holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics, an Italian Doctorate in Public Economics and an MSc in Economics with distinction from University College London.
