Luciana Bellia’s practice focuses on antitrust law and energy law. Luciana has a strong reputation in assisting clients in regulatory and antitrust matters concerning infrastructures (e.g., highways, railways, gas transmission networks, gas distribution network, telecom). She is recognized among “Top 40 Notable Women Competition Professionals in Their 40s in Europe” by Women AT. She is co-author of various publications, including: “Italy”, The Renewable Energy Law Review – Edition 3, 2020; “Italy”, The Public Competition Enforcement Review – Edition 12, 2020 (co-author); “Italy”, The Public Competition Enforcement Review, Edition 10, 2018; “Italy”, The Energy Regulation and Markets Review, fifth edition, 2016. Ms. Bellia joined the firm in 2006 and became a senior attorney in 2015. From 2006 to 2008, she was resident in the Brussels office and from 2008 to September 2021 in the Milan and Rome offices. She graduated, summa cum laude, from the Law School of the University of Rome, Luiss Guido Carli in 2001. While at Law School she was a visiting student at the Georgetown University Law Center for a semester on a scholarship granted by the University of Rome. From 2001 to 2005, Ms. Bellia worked in Rome for Italian and International law firms, where she was primarily involved in Competition law and energy law matters. In 2006, she received an L.L.M. from the College of Europe, Bruges, in European Legal Studies with a specialization in the economic analysis of law. Ms. Bellia is a member of the Italian Bar in Palermo. Her native language is Italian. She is fluent in English and proficient in French.
