Alessandro Boso Caretta

Alessandro Boso Caretta is a Partner in the Competition and Regulated Markets group within the Litigation & Regulatory department. He is based in the Rome office. 

Alessandro specialises in regulation, competition and consumer protection, both on transactional and contentious matters.

He is experienced in advising international and national clients on cartels and horizontal agreements, distribution and vertical agreements, dominance, economic dependence, merger control, state aids, foreign direct investments. He regularly assists clients in investigations before regulatory and competition authorities, as well as in litigations before civil and administrative courts.

His practice also covers the areas of unfair commercial practices and class action.

He has expertise in a wide range of sectors, including technology, telecommunications, automotive, financial services, life sciences, energy, manufacturing, retail and consumer goods.

Alessandro is ranked by Chambers Europe and mentioned by The Legal 500 EMEA among the most reputable lawyers in Italy in Competition/EU Law and Telecommunications. He won the prize “Lawyer of the year – Class actions” by Legalcommunity on 2021.
