Francesco Savino

Francesco Savino is the Head of Competition Law for Hitachi Rail, responsible for all aspects of competition law across Hitachi Rail’s extensive global operations. These include merger control, antitrust investigations, general antitrust advice and monitoring, and the roll-out and implementation of the company’s internal Fair Competition compliance program.

Prior to joining Hitachi Rail, Francesco spent a decade in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors, advising on competition law and regulatory matters at a multinational mobile network operator and at the UK communications regulator.

Francesco began his career in private practice in London and Brussels, advising clients on competition law matters in the UK, EU and US. Francesco is a dual qualified solicitor in England and Wales, and in Australia.
