Associate General Counsel, Snam

Salvatore Branca is the Associate General Counsel responsible for Corporate Finance & Acquisitions Legal Affairs at Snam, a leading global player in the energy infrastructure sector listed on the Milan Stock Exchange. Snam’s core business involves the development, operation, and management of natural gas infrastructures.

Mr. Branca is in charge of all legal activities related to corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and business development projects for the Snam Group worldwide, including related merger control and foreign direct investment (FDI) procedures. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors of Desfa S.A., a Greek company participated by Snam, which manages, operates, and develops the Greek national natural gas system.

Graduated in Law from Bocconi University in Milan, Mr. Branca began his career at Paul Hastings, an American law firm with a branch in Milan. He then joined the Legal and Corporate Affairs team at Magneti Marelli (now Marelli), one of the world’s leading automotive components manufacturers. Over his eight years at Magneti Marelli, he held roles of increasing responsibility, focusing primarily on M&A, antitrust, and intellectual property matters.

Mr. Branca joined Snam in 2020 and has been a qualified Italian lawyer since 2013.
