Antitrust Advisor, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer

Valeria Losco is an Antitrust Advisor in the antitrust, competition and trade group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, based in Washington, D.C.

Valeria advises clients on a range of antitrust issues, including the U.S. merger control and review process, multijurisdictional merger control, anticompetitive conduct matters, and civil and criminal investigations by both federal and state authorities.

Valeria is Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center, where she teaches International and Comparative Antitrust in the Fall Semester.

Prior to joining Freshfields, Valeria served as an antitrust legal consultant in the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). Before moving to the U.S. in 2006, Valeria served on the faculty of Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where she taught courses and conducted academic research.

She graduated in law (J.D.) from the University of Milan (Italy), obtained a Ph.D. in Public Law from the University of Pavia (Italy), and an LL.M. from the George Washington University in Washington D.C. (U.S.). She is a member of the D.C. Bar (U.S.) and of the Italian Bar (Milan).
